I was going to conflate this picture with another post, but baguettes seem to be such a big part of Lao food culture that I thought they actually deserve their very own post (plus I kinda like this photo and thought it deserved its own post). Baguettes are everywhere here, probably because of the huge French influence and presence here. I’m not complaining; I love baguettes. Just a few weeks ago, I was daydreaming about buying a completely unnecessary bag in which to carry a freshly purchased baguette even though (a) I’m broke and (b) I hardly ever buy baguettes.
